GVP Reference Summary

The late Pleistocene Akhtang Massif is located between the Bolshaya Kimitina and Kozyrevka rivers SE of Ichinsky volcano in the southern Sredinny Range. This stratovolcano is at the NE end of line of smaller monogenetic cones extending about 16 km SE. Volynets et al. (2020) obtained K-Ar dates of about 250-310 ka from lava samples taken near the youngest cones at the SW end of the chain.
