GVP Reference Summary

Toroeng Prong is in west-central Vietnam SW of the coastal city of Quang Ngai. Whitford-Stark (1987, pers. comm.) indicated that this was a small well-preserved basaltic volcano with a crater lake and three vents, possibly of Holocene age. However, no distinct volcanic features are observable in this area or reported elsewhere, so this may refer to a small basaltic plateau between Quang Ngai and the Pleiku-Bantour basalts to the SW.
